Gurpinder Kaur (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Shabad Studio mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who this app is for

Shabad Studio is a practice journal for gurmat sangeet students. It is intended for a general audience (including teens and adults learning kirtan and raag-atmic kirtan).

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See Section 11 - Children’s Privacy.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account: email address and password when you create an account (password is handled by our auth provider; we do not store your plain-text password).
• Profile: optional display name and role (e.g. student).
• Practice content: shabads you save, raag names, practice notes, annotations (including line notes and inline markup), practice session duration, streaks and logs, search history and favorites.
• Voice notes (optional): audio you record during practice. On the free tier, voice notes stay on your device unless you choose to use cloud features available with Shabad Studio Pro.
• Photos (optional, Pro): images you attach to line annotations; uploaded only when you are signed in and use Pro cloud features.
• Support: information you send us by email.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and app data: basic technical data needed for the App to run (e.g. app version, platform) and to sync your account.
